FAQ
Do we need a professional wedding planner/coordinator?
Yes. All wedding clients are required to work with a professional wedding planner/coordinator.
A venue coordinator is helpful, but they are not the same as a wedding coordinator. A venue coordinator works for the venue and is primarily responsible for the venue’s operations. A wedding coordinator works for you and manages the overall flow of your day, including the timeline, vendors, ceremony logistics, family photo support, reception events, and troubleshooting.
This requirement allows me to focus fully on photography while your coordinator manages the logistics of the day. It protects your experience, your timeline, and the quality of your final gallery.
For my purposes, a professional coordinator is someone who runs or works for an established wedding planning/coordination business, has successfully coordinated several weddings, provides a formal service agreement, is paid for their services, communicates with vendors beforehand, and is present on the wedding day to actively manage the timeline and logistics.
A family member, friend, bridesmaid, guest, venue employee (unless explicitly an in-house wedding coordinator/planner), or unpaid helper does not fulfill this requirement.

Will you travel to our wedding?
Yes! Our service area is within a 3 hour drive of Jackson, Mississippi, including New Orleans. Within this area, we do not charge any travel fees. If your wedding is taking place outside of this service area, or if you are planning a destination wedding, we would still love to photograph your big day. Please contact us for a fair, flat travel fee quote.
How do I book April Garon Photography for my wedding date?
An $850 non-refundable retainer secures your date on our calendar. The remaining balance is invoiced via automatic monthly payments. The full balance is due one month prior to your wedding date.
What is included in wedding day photography timeline planning assistance?
We will gather details from you via an emailed questionnaire several weeks before your wedding date to create a schedule for photo coverage on your wedding day/weekend. From there, we customize it to your needs!
How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?
Wedding clients receive a sneak peek gallery 3 days after their wedding.
Please allow 10 weeks for delivery of your full wedding gallery.
